Fat grafting (transfers)

Fat grafting is the process of transferring your own body fat that is harvested from one part of the body, into a desired area that requires an increase in size or volume. When using your own fat cells for the augmentation, the body will not reject the transfer and, in turn, limits the risks. The procedure involves harvesting fat cells from a selected part of the body, cleansing them, and then injecting them into the muscle tissue of the chosen area. This will enhance the size of muscle, giving it the volume that is desired without the need of prosthetic or artificial implants.

Areas most commonly used for grafting include:

  • Facial rejuvenation grafting
  • Lip enhancements (microtransfer)
  • Female breast grafting
  • Muscular grafting
  • Augmentation of chest, calves and buttocks
