The JVA Medical Suites Neck Lift is a non-surgical procedure which redefines the elegant lines of the jaw and neck for a youthful, tighter, more contoured appearance without the need for surgery.
The non-surgical neck lift uses a combination of Botox® and PDO threads. The procedure starts with placing multiple Botox® injections along the lower jaw line and side of the neck, in order to penetrate the platysma muscles. Botox® helps to relax these muscles, which are responsible for pulling the down jawline and jowls. PDO threads are then used to pull back any loose, sagging skin in order to create the vectors and shape of the neck and jawline that is desired. In time the PDO threads will stimulate the body to naturally produce collagen, which further enhances the skins youthful appearance and elasticity. You will notice improved tightening and overall reduction of drooping neck skin and often reduced wrinkles on the neck in as few as three to five days. Results and improvements will also still be evident up to 12 months after the procedure, due to the collagen production that will have been stimulated.
FAQ on Non-surgical neck lift
There are very minimal side-effects associated with the application of Botox® and PDO threading. Some immediate side effects include bruising, redness, swelling as well as puckering. These side effects will subside after 3 days. Intra-dermal threads help with the production of collagen in the specific areas that they are placed and, in turn, have positive long term advantages rather than negative side-effects for the skin.
Once the treatment has relaxed these muscles, the net effect is an upward pull from facial muscles. In order to keep these muscles relaxed, Botox® treatment will need to be repeated every 4-6 months. With regards to the PDO threads, these last for a minimum of a year and only need to be replaced once they have been fully absorbed.
